I've decided to totally change most of the stuff on this page as it was getting very out of date.
I'm uncertain as to the actual number of monsters active on the Island at the moment but as far I can
tell there are 10 active Rangers at the last count, with a further 8 whose status is unknown. In addition, 29 other Rangers have retired from the game over the years.
Our newest member was initiated at the start of June 2000. (06/06/00)
The Rangers were, and possibly still are, one of the largest groups in the UK game and still the
only UK group to accept any monster into our ranks, regardless of race or religion.
Benefits of membership include sharing of information, coloured well-detailed maps and sharing of map info if you use
MI Mapper, cooperation amongst members, mutual protection, pooling of resources and monster-power, distibution of items/weapons etc, use of IR forts, and Temple Rebuilding amongst other things.
As far as our accomplishments go we have rebuilt 2 forts, sanctified 3 temples and helped other groups with 4 more. We have
some contact with the MLF and KLN but nothing with other groups for quite a while.
Our group consists of members of all religions and we are friendly towards everyone and will never initiate
combat with another group. We will respond violently to any who try to harm our fellow Rangers however.
